Hages Awarded Faculty Fellowship Program in Israel

Charles J. Hages, Ph.D.

Chemical Engineering Assistant Professor Charles Hages, Ph.D., has been selected to take part in an academic exchange and exploration of Israel on Dec. 26, 2019 – Jan. 8, 2020.

Dr. Hages is one of 25 professors from universities and colleges throughout the United States selected for the competitive 2019 Winter Faculty Fellowship Program offered by the Jewish National Fund.

“I’m grateful to be selected for the program. This will be a really great opportunity to connect with my Israeli colleagues – and hopefully meet some new collaborators at the amazing universities out there. I also love history and there are few better places to explore that than in the middle east,” says Dr. Hages.

Participants will be traveling throughout Israel and meeting with Israeli professors who share their research interests. The program focuses on developing collaborations, research projects, co-authoring articles and establishing exchange programs between faculty and students.

During the trip, they will also meet Israelis from all walks of life and be exposed to contemporary Israeli society, culture, and historical sites. To learn more visit http://www.ff2israel.org/
