Recognized as one of the country’s leading franchise investors, Scott Pressly is the managing partner of 10 Point Capital, an Atlanta-based private equity firm focused on emerging, high-growth companies. Scott’s operating and investing career includes over 20 years of private equity, brand management and franchise expertise. Having invested in over 25 franchise businesses, he understands how to identify and scale successful emerging franchise concepts.
Previously, Scott was the co-founder BIP Capital, a venture capital firm focused in a variety of industries including franchising, software, healthcare, media and financial services. Scott sourced and led the firm’s largest investment into Tropical Smoothie Café, one of the fastest-growing fast casual concepts in the country with over 600 locations nationwide. Additionally, he serves as Chairman of Tropical Smoothie Café.
Prior to BIP Capital, Scott was a partner at Roark Capital Group, where he was directly responsible for sourcing and closing multiple investments. He also was actively involved as a Board member for several of Roark Capital’s brands, such as Schlotzsky’s, McAlister’s Deli, FASTSIGNS, Money Mailer, and Cinnabon. Additionally, Scott held leadership roles with U.S. Franchise Systems, The Walt Disney Company and Dow Chemical USA.
With extensive relationships in the franchise community, Scott is active on several industry Boards. Over the last 15 years, he has served as Chairman of the International Franchise Association (IFA) Supplier Forum Advisory Board, as well as a Trustee for the IFA Franchise Education & Research Foundation. Scott received his MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Florida.
