Jennifer Sinclair Curtis has been named Fellow of the AAAS
Dr. Curtis has been named Fellow of the AAAS for seminal contributions to the understanding of particle flow and the dynamics of gas-solid flows.

Ranga Narayanan has been named Fellow of the AAAS
Dr. Narayanan has been named Fellow of the AAAS for distinguished contributions in interfacial fluid mechanics, and for leadership

Graduate Student Casey LaMarche has been awarded an Attributes of a Gator Engineer Award for Leadership
Dean Abernathy and members of the College of Engineering Undergraduate Scholarships and Awards Committee have chosen Casey out of a
"quite large and competitive" group of nominees to represent this leadership award. Casey's dedication to helping the
chemical engineering department and serving as a role model both for its undergraduate and graduate students is what led to her nomination,
and ultimate winning of this award. She has been the president of the chemical engineering graduate student organization (GRACE), planned and
an executed academic symposium, selected to speak at the UF Graduate Recruitment Breakfast, and is actively involved in recruiting new graduate
students for the chemical engineering department. She received this honor by Dean Abernathy at the College of Engineering's New Student Convocation
in August 2012

Dr. Ren wins ECS Award
Dr. Fan Ren wins the Gordon E. Moore Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Solid Science and Technology from Electrochemical Society.
The citation is for "The contributions to the development of compound semiconductor electronic and photonic device processing methods."

UF ChemE alumni, Park Chin-ho becomes Korean representative at IEA's Photovoltaic Systems
Park Chin-ho, a professor at Yeungnam University, has been appointed as the Korean representative at Photovoltaic Power Systems (PVPS)
of the International Energy Agency (IEA). Professor Chin-ho was Dr. Tim Anderson's PhD student while at UF.
