Active Membership Requirements
Active membership requirements for the
2014-2015 year will be announced during the first AIChE meeting. This
usually is composed of attending a minimum number of events and not
missing more than two general body meetings in a row. We also require
all our members to register with National AIChE, you can do so by
National AIChE Membership
We highly encourage all of our members to join the National
AIChE Chapter and take advantage of all the great benefits
including job search/advice, networking, and the extremely
“handy” Pocket Handbook. Best of all it's completely free!
We require our members to register with the National AIChE
Chapter to be considered for exclusive scholarships and awards,
and attend the Regional or National conferences. Joining
National AIChE also counts toward your active membership status.

Section 1. Standard
qualifications for active membership status
Active membership qualifications require the attendance of a
minimum of two General Body meetings. A membership form must
be on record for any individual who desires membership
status and rights. Membership forms shall be valid only for
the academic year in which they were submitted.
Section 2. Additional qualifications for active
membership status Additional criteria will be
proposed by the President at the first Executive Council
meeting of the semester. Upon approval, the qualifications
will be read during the first General Body meeting of the
semester. The qualifications shall be made accessible on the
website, and posted within the Chemical Engineering building
by the second General Body meeting of the semester.
Section 3. Loss of active membership status A member will lose their active membership status
after the nonattendance of two consecutive General Body
meetings. Active membership status can be obtained again by
attending one General Body meeting.
